Closer Looks: CLOT x sacai x Nike LDWaffle "K.O.D. 2/Cool Grey"
The CLOT x sacai x Nike LDWaffle “K.O.D. 2/Cool Grey” is inspired by the 2013 sequel CLOT x Air Max 1 “K.O.D. 2” and centered around a mix of “Obsidian Grey” and “Navy.”
This time around, the upper of the hybrid silhouette is constructed of a no-sew, see-through fused upper. Heat-welded overlays expressing the dual reflective 3M midfoot Swooshes, vamp panels and mudguards provide detailing on the shoe seamless upper. While CLOT, sacai, Nike branding motifs are found on the tongue tags, rear and printed insoles. Rounding up the design of the shoe are stacked elements on the tongues, laces and branded heels, along with speckled and extending midsoles paired with gum rubber outsoles.
Edison Chen and Chitose Abe have also prepared a matching ready-to-wear capsule collection to release alongside the shoe. The unisex range features a mods coat and track pants in black and khaki marked by contrasting seam taping, a graphic T-shirt with side zip fasteners and varsity socks all matching with “sacai / clot thing” motifs.
Priced at $180 USD, the CLOT x sacai x Nike LDWaffle “K.O.D. 2/Cool Grey” is set to release October 7
